The SME Development Incentives are intended to help enterprises meet today’s business challenges by stimulating and supporting innovation in processes, products and services. These incentives are open to enterprises engaged in manufacturing, ICT, R&D and Innovation, waste treatment and other environmental solutions, as well as innovative Start-Ups as defined in the incentives’ guidelines. |

Innovative start-up enterprises that demonstrate a potential for job creation and economic growth, may receive grants supporting the acquisition of tangible and intangible assets and non-routine expert services incurred during the setting-up phase. |

Innovative Start-ups Grant |
|
This scheme will support operational costs incurred during the setting-up period of high value-added start-up enterprises, including wage costs and rental or lease of equipment and production facilities. This scheme is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). |

Small Start-up Grant Scheme |
|
This scheme aims to stimulate innovation within SMEs by supporting the development of innovative processes, products and services, and the introducing Innovation Management Techniques. This scheme is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). |

Innovation Actions Grant Scheme |
|
This incentive is aimed at assisting SMEs in: 1. first time participation in Trade Fairs, 2. acquiring technical assistance from external experts. Assistance is provided to enterprises on activities to diversify and to penetrate new markets, increase their competitiveness, establish new business contacts, develop new products and services, and consolidate their existing market share. |

SME Development Grants |

This award aims to support SMEs that are preparing technical dossiers to participate in EU Funded projects issued by the EU Commission. The assistance provided shall support the enterprises during the application process and covers the preparation and submission of technical proposals for FP7 and CIP projects. Exploratory Award |

This incentive is designed to assist SMEs to make better use of Information and Communication Technologies to improve efficiency, add value to their products and services, and to innovate their processes. This scheme is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). |
