Participation in FP7 and CIP programmes can support SME’s in strengthening their competitiveness through:
· networking and relationship building with international partners · access to centres of excellence · knowledge transfer · collaborative research and development and innovative projects
Benefits The Exploratory Award Scheme provides assistance in the form of a cash grant to help SME’s develop project proposals for submission to the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP).
Through this incentive ME will cover up to 60% of the total eligible costs of the preparatory proposal. The total aid received by one enterprise may not exceed €10,000 in one calendar year.
Application process Prior to applying for aid under this incentive, enterprises are advised to contact Malta Enterprise for guidance on the application process.
